My first bronze took as reference a daguerrotype from 1839, « Les Boulevards de Paris », the first shot taken with a person in it. « The boulevard, which is normally burdened with a crowd of people and cars, is absolutely deserted, except for one person who is having his shoes polished. » I was attracted by the representation of servitude and of power over others.
